Terms of Service for Electrical Work

These Terms of Service apply to electrical services provided by Andrew Ells-O’Brien to residential customers.
By requesting service, the customer agrees to the following terms.
Scope of Work
All electrical work will be limited to the services described in the estimate, proposal, or service agreement provided to the customer.
Any additional work discovered during the course of the project may require a revised estimate or customer approval before proceeding.
Estimates and Pricing
Estimates provided are based on the visible conditions at the time of inspection. Electrical systems may contain hidden conditions that cannot be determined without further investigation.
If additional work is required due to unforeseen conditions, the customer will be informed before additional work is performed.
Permits and Code Compliance
All work performed by Andrew Ells-O’Brien follows the Massachusetts Electrical Code and local inspection requirements where applicable.
Permit requirements may vary depending on the scope of work and the municipality.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in the estimate or service agreement.
Typical payment terms may include:
• Payment due upon completion of service
• Deposits required for larger projects
• Additional progress payments for extended projects
Late payments may be subject to additional fees where permitted by law.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the electrical system and work areas during the scheduled service appointment.
Customers should also notify the electrician of any known electrical issues, hazards, or previous modifications to the electrical system.
Warranty and Workmanship
Andrew Ells-O’Brien stands behind the quality of its workmanship.
Warranty coverage applies to installation labor for the period stated in the service agreement. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and equipment when applicable.
Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification by others, natural disasters, or unrelated electrical failures.
Limitation of Liability
Andrew Ells-O’Brien is not responsible for damages resulting from pre-existing electrical conditions or work performed by others prior to service.
Liability is limited to the value of the services performed.
Right to Refuse Service
Service may be declined or discontinued if unsafe conditions exist or if work requested violates electrical codes or safety standards.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in business practices or legal requirements.
